Maruti-Suzuki has retired the A-Star and Zen Estilo, which as beautifully put by the folks at Motorbeam, should have never existed in the first place. The replacement will be what Maruti Suzuki is calling the Celerio. This compact hatchback will be powered by the familiar Maruti Suzuki K10 engine with a rumoured twin cylinder diesel engine said to be in the works.
The Celerio is expected to come with a transmission that saves you from the bane of clutching and detclutching. Motorbeam has newer pictures which show the gear lever the enables this semi-automatic transmission, with the usual P N D R on the left and the less usual + and – on the right.
