With Rajiv Bajaj at the helm, Bajaj Auto started transforming itself from a successful scooter manufacturer to a successful motorcycle manufacturer. The Pulsar and Discover brands have been around a long while now and have helped cement Bajaj’s reputation as a motorcycle brand. The second attempt by Bajaj at making scooters was but a miserable flop. Models came and went with none making much of an impact on the market.
Autocar India now reports the Bajaj might be set to launch another scooter in the next few months. The scooter is said to be powered by a single cylinder 125cc- 150cc engine. It is as yet unknown if the engine will be yet another DTS-i mill. Telescopic forks, larger wheels than on any other scooter in the market are expected to make the scooter stable and handle well on tarmac.
