Following the reveal of the new E-Class sedan and wagon in December and then the Coupe and Convertible in the first week of this month, Mercedes-Benz has nonchalantly published an image showing the new E 63 AMG announcing the new E-Class AMGs. Mercedes-Benz’s 4MATIC all wheel drive system will make an appearance on the new E 63 AMG for the first time in an AMG that isn’t an SUV.
With the obvious styling changes brought by the new E-Class, there are also a series of new BlueDIRECT four-cylinder petrol engines with direct injection technology,a new high performance six-cylinder engine and of course, efficient diesel engines. Mercdes-Benz says all models in the E-Class family will be equipped with assistance systems that will be found in the next generation S‑Class. Active Lane Keeping Assist, anti-dazzle continuous main-beam headlamps (Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus) are some of them.
Mercedes-Benz also claims that the new E-Class will be priced at almost the ‘same level’ as its predecessor.
Also making its debut will be the much talked about CLA Class. The CLA will go on sale in the US market soon after its NAIAS debut on 14th January 2013.
