In the past there have been reports that Tata was considering stripping down the Aria and introducing a cheaper variant to boost its almost non-existent sales.  Those reports have surfaced yet again with indiancarsbikes.in taking cues from a team-bhp.com member claiming that bookings are already on for a 4×2 version of the Aria. The feature rich Aria features a four wheel drive system which it calls the Adapterra system.  It is being said that the 2 wheel drive Aria will make the car one to one and half lakh rupees cheaper than the fully loaded version and will put it in the Innova territory.  The Aria is actually a very good car but it seems that people are not willing to pay a lot of money for a Tata product.  Tata seems to facing the same problem that Maruti and Hyundai are facing.
