Rajiv Bajaj has said at the launch of the Kawasaki Ninja 650R that there will be more Kawasaki models launched in the Indian market. It is well known that Bajaj is now working towards bringing a KTM Duke (will it be 125cc or 200cc we don’t yet know) into the Indian market by the end of this year. It is also known that Bajaj is working on new platforms for the Pulsar, Discover and Boxer. In all this Kawasaki is not high priority. Since its launch a little under two years ago, the Ninja 250R has sold only 1500 units and it is nearly two years after its launch that the next Ninja, the 650R has been launched. So while other Kawasakis are on their way, they are yet a long, long way from the Probiking Showrooms of Bajaj.
