The web space is abuzz with the news that the new Verna from Hyundai has met with good customer response. Reports on various websites have suggested that Hyundai has garnered a very healthy and positive 5000 bookings within five days of launch of the new Verna. The new Verna looks aggressive and the design language that Hyundai calls “Fluidic Sculpture” seems to have been a given thumbs up by the Indian consumer. However, we reserve our final judgement on the performance of the new car in the market because it is not unusual to find that cars attract many buyers when they are launched but sometimes do not sustain the same level of interest over the next few months. So we would like to wait and see if Hyundai continues with this sales trend or will see a decline in the coming weeks and months.
