New reports emanating in the aftermath of Patrick Head’s vehement denial of retirement plans and his quip that Adam Parr was not authorized to make those comments is the claim that Sam Michael and Jon Tomlinson were the scape goats of a larger problem that exists within the Williams F1 team. Team personnel have expressed solidarity with the two employees who have resigned and also have expressed surprise over the appointment of Mike Coughlan the disgraced former McLaren employee as Chief Engineer of the team. This once hallowed team has really fallen on hard times in all conceivable matters and it will be a great shame if the team gets quagmired in these politics.
