World Superbike legend Troy Corser is making an attempt to enter the World Superbike Championship in 2014 as a team manager with his own team Downunder Racing. Troy Corser was the original development rider for the official BMW Motorrad Racing team in World Superbikes after it made the rocket ship the S1000RR. Corser then went on to take part in the races along with Reuben Xaus the Spanish rider.

Corser now wants to enter his team in the EVO category where the costs involved are much less than a factory effort and more important the EVO category is to become the only WSBK category from 2015 onwards. BMW has withdrawn its official participation but has assured any team that if needed, the company will support customer teams. Troy Corser and his crew chief of many years Larsen have decided to take full advantage of the EVO rules and the BMW’s support to customer teams and enter the series. What is left is that Corser and Larsen need to find a sponsor before they can say all systems are go.
