The KTM 390 Duke which was speculated to be launched at the Second KTM Orange Day has, as we speculated, not been launched. Mr. Amit Nandi, KTM India head unveiled the KTM 350 SX-F which he said will be sold through 17 KTM (erstwhile ProBiking outlets) outlets in India along with the KTM RC8!
The 350 SX-F is powered by a 349.7 cc engine placed in a KTM-esque central tubular frame made from chrome molybdenum steel tubes. Unlike the 200 Duke sold in India, or the 390 Duke to be launched this year, the 350 SX-F gets a hydraulically operated clutch. The 350 SX-F hits the sweet spot for novice and intermediate off roaders who often find 250s not powerful enough and the 650s too heavy for off roading.
