Korean car maker Hyundai entered the European car markets in the year 1977 with their Pony car and has since grown from strength to strength.  Hyundai has thus far sold 5 million cars in Europe and that is a significant mile stone.  No wonder Toyota is afraid of Hyundai.  Interestingly enough, Hyundai cars have been increasingly adopting European aesthetics and the latest series of cars such as the i20, i10, the new Verna and the Sonata have used what Hyundai calls fluidic sculpture, and these cars are very European in their appearance.  Hyundai is also working on making their cars handle like European cars.
