Porsche beating Mercedes to be called SLC?

It is well known that the world is not enough as far as the German car makers are concerned.  They constantly try to up the ante and beat the others into submission.  While the traditional wars are between BMW and Mercedes Benz, Porsche too figures in these wars.  Mercedes Benz is now looking at a Porsche 911 beating car and the grapevine has it that it is developing a smaller version of the SLS AMG to be called the SLC AMG and that this will be unleashed on the world in 2014.  The car will carry the potent V8 engine and is expected to better the 911.  But Porsche is not going to sit around waiting to be beaten.  It will respond for sure.  Let the war begin.
