The Tata Aria is by far the best car that Tata Motors have made but the customer’s are refusing to put down their money to buy it since they seem to believe that a vehicle with the Tata badge is not worth that much. Tata’s efforts to bring out a pared down version in the form of 2 wheel drive have not yielded the desired results. Tata dealers have therefore resorted to giving a massive Rs. 2 lakh discount in order to move stocks. Not selling 2011 manufactured vehicles by December means that the value of the vehicle will depreciate massively even before it leaves the showroom.
