Commenting on the launch, Mr. K. Srinivas, President-Motorcycles, Bajaj Auto said: “Pulsar has now celebrated a ‘Decade of Dominance’ with 10 years of leadership in the Indian performance motorcycle market. These sporty iconic motorcycles have been a testimony to the company’s engineering prowess. The Pulsar 200 NS showcases next leap in technology and design and will set the standard for others to follow.

Braking Distance 16.33 m, which is a metre lesser than the previous generation Pulsar 220.

Triple Spark Engine!

4 valve combustion chamber, central master plug, and additional twin sparks on either side. 50% increase in combustion speed.

Lower Brake Specific Fuel Consumption ( fuel for 1KW output for one Hour) thanks to triple spark.

Fuel Consumption improvement between 10% to 17%

Design

Lines stay true to the Pulsar character, but are more tense with each evolution.

Wolf eyes up front.

Clip on, rearsets, pretty much everything is new.

Darth Vader-ish face.

Engine also has been ‘styled’ to fit in with the rest of the styling.

Powertrain

4 Valve Water Cooled, Triple spark Engine. 33 Venturi Carburettor for now. Fuel injection, maybe later.

Much cooler than the previous gen 220.

58 kpl Indian Driving Cycle.

Chassis

Pressed steel perimeter beam section frame with rectangular tube section swing arm lead to a lateral stiffness that is three times more rigid than the previous gen Pulsar 220.

Monoshock.

200 NS delivers more torque, handles better says Mr. Abraham Joseph.

Central mounted exhaust for better weight distribution.

Nitrox now in the monoshock form.

Better ride quality than the 220 says Mr. Joseph!
