FT-86 to GT 86

The GT 86 started life as the Toyota FT-86 I Concept previewed at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2009.

This concept evolved into the FT-86  II Concept, presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 2011, bringing it a step closer to production.

The production version, the GT 86 loses much of the Lexus LFA design cues to bring forth a stylish, less radical design. The addition of the 86 piston logo in the production version is a welcome change. The design is also distinct enough to distinguish it from its sibling the Subaru BRZ.

Though it would seem the GT 86 has lost much of the  aggression of the FT-86, we would like to point out that the GT 86 looks characteristically Japanese, and the toned down aggression definitely seems to be working.
