Lewis Hamilton has declared that he will continue fighting for victories in the 2013 season, despite Sebastian Vettel’s dominance in the last 4 races. He faced the Japanese press at Suzuka on Thursday, and he has said that he believes he can break vettel’s run of victories this weekend.

Lewis Hamilton said, “This is definitely one I would love to win. The first sector is the most challenging and critical, but the Red Bull has been the quickest there over the last four years and I anticipate they will be the quickest there again. But I hope that our strong showing in the second sector at Korea will correlate here. So fingers crossed. We’ll see, but I hope we can give the Red Bulls a close race. I haven’t given up. We just need a weekend to go our way.”

“I’ve not had any good races here and I really hope this will be a new start for me here.”, he added.

Hamilton was also asked why he struggled with tyre wear in Korea, to which he replied, “There is an explanation but I am not going to tell you! But it’s me, not the car.”

The 2013 Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix is held between 11th October and 13th October, 2013 at the famous figure of 8 circuit, Suzuka. This race could also see Sebastian Vettel being crowned as the champion for the 2013 season.
