It is well known that Honda Cars India has announced that on the 25th of November it will be unveiling the 4th generation Honda City in India. This time around the City is rumoured to be coming with the 1.5 iDtec diesel engine that has been propelling the Amaze sedan into the best selling models of the country. Some websites have reported that the launch of the new City will be on 2nd of January, 2014 (this is the actual launch of the car and not the unveiling). The car apparently has even gone to ARAI for homologation. However, no pictures of the test mules or of the car have appeared on the internet or in print magazines. It is supposed to look like the new Jazz on whose mechanicals it is based. The new Jazz is a handsome car and has become Japan’s best seller and it is believed that the City too will emulate the performance of the Jazz at the hustings in markets such as India.
