The totally new Ducati which will replace the existing 1198 was thought to be called the 1199 but breaking tradition Ducati has decided to call it the Panigale since the factory is located in Bologna- Panigale. Ducati will race this motorcycle in the Super Stock category in 2012 before it is debuted in the World Superbike series in 2013.
